Corporate Controller

About the role

The Corporate Controller at Gencor leads the accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while supporting strategic initiatives. This senior position combines hands‑on accounting expertise with leadership responsibilities across multiple finance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies and procedures.
• Maintain the Corporate Controller’s Manual documenting accounting policies.
• Lead accounting personnel, including General Accounting Manager, Cost Accountant, and Payroll Coordinator.
• Oversee preparation and accuracy of monthly financial statements and reporting packages for executive leadership.
• Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audit activities with external auditors.
• Support acquisition due diligence, financial integration, and consolidation of newly acquired subsidiaries.
• Provide financial analysis to leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Mentor and develop accounting team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (MBA, CMA, CPA preferred).
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in accounting/finance.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting principles.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
