Job description
About the role
Avis Budget Group is seeking a Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) Specialist to drive continuous improvement in its digital customer journey across web and mobile. Reporting to the Director of Conversion & Experimentation, the role focuses on identifying, testing and scaling improvements that increase conversion, revenue and customer satisfaction. It works closely with product managers, designers, analysts and engineers in cross-functional pods.
Key responsibilities
- Experimentation and testing: design, run and analyse A/B and multivariate tests on web and mobile, turning hypotheses into structured experiments with clear success metrics
- Conversion optimisation: identify opportunities to improve conversion at key funnel stages (search, pricing, checkout, post-booking), analyse user behaviour to find friction points and work with product and design teams on solutions
- Data and insights: use analytics, funnel metrics, user research, session replays and surveys to inform hypotheses, monitor conversion metrics and turn results into actionable recommendations
- Cross-functional collaboration: work with product managers, analytics teams, design and research, and engineering to align experiments with roadmap priorities and implement them
- Best practices: follow experimentation frameworks and governance, ensure statistical validity, document results and maintain a repository of learnings
- Continuous improvement: stay up to date with CRO trends and tools, and help build a test-and-learn culture
Required profile
- Experience in a CRO, experimentation, digital analytics or product role within an e-commerce or digital business
- Hands-on experience running A/B tests and analysing results
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of digital customer journeys and conversion funnels
- Detail-oriented, structured and hypothesis-driven, with strong collaboration and communication skills
- Nice to have: experience with product management teams, web and mobile development processes, global or multi-market experience, and certifications such as PMP or Scrum Master
Required skills
- Familiarity with experimentation and analytics tools such as Optimizely, Adobe Target, GA4 and Amplitude
- Ability to interpret data and generate insights
What we offer
- Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, plus optional group auto, home, pet, legal assistance, identity theft protection, FSA, accident and critical illness insurance
- 401(k) retirement plan with company-matched contributions
- Full training, employee discounts on Avis/Budget cars and an Employee Assistance Program
- Starting salary of $115,000 - $125,000 annually, depending on geography, skills, education and experience
