Controls Technician – Building Automation

About the role

Alliance Group is looking for full-time, experienced Controls Technicians in West Lebanon, NH to join its Building Automation/Controls team. This is a field-based position covering the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of building automation systems, with in-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, energy management and network communications. The employer is willing to train the right person.

Key responsibilities

• Safely perform scheduled preventive maintenance with a senior technician
• Assist in commissioning and startup of systems
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair wiring, hardware and software, and diagnose communication problems
• Create, load, test and tune system databases
• Install, replace and recommission control systems devices, equipment and software
• Provide on-site training to customers and create accurate test records
• Explain issues, timelines and resolutions to customers and identify opportunities for new business
• Document installed equipment on arrival and keep the work area and vehicle clean

Required profile

• 2+ years of building automation experience; 2+ years of HVAC or electrical experience preferred
• Background in Johnson Controls, Honeywell or Schneider Controls preferred
• U.S. citizenship or a valid U.S. work permit, and a valid, unrestricted driver's license
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs daily and climb scaffolding, ladders and stairs
• Must pass a background check and motor vehicle record check, and a post-offer pre-employment screen
