Controller – Remote

About the role

We are seeking a Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of a business unit within a fast‑growing services organization. This fully remote position offers high visibility, broad ownership, and direct exposure to senior leadership while maintaining a strong work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close and prepare financial reporting packages.
• Oversee billing, cash management, and day‑to‑day accounting activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for the business unit.
• Drive process improvements and reinforce internal controls.
• Partner with operational leaders to enhance financial visibility.
• Manage and mentor members of the accounting team.
• Assist with integration and continuous‑improvement initiatives as the organization scales.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Prior experience in a Controller, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or similar leadership role.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, month‑end close, and operational accounting.
• Experience in service‑based, recurring‑revenue, or project‑driven environments.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with business leaders.
• CPA preferred but not required.
