About the role

OP is a technology consulting and solutions firm seeking an experienced Controller to lead all accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and internal controls. The role works closely with executive leadership and external accounting and tax advisors to ensure accurate, GAAP‑compliant financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes using U.S. GAAP accrual accounting.
• Prepare executive financial statements, dashboards, and KPI reports.
• Manage General Ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, revenue recognition, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts, cash‑flow projections, and financial models.
• Analyze profitability by customer, project, service line, and business unit.
• Serve as primary liaison with external CPA firm for audits, corporate tax returns, sales/use tax, franchise tax, and annual reporting.
• Coordinate financial information with external tax advisors while maintaining confidentiality.
• Support banking relationships, insurance audits, and lender reporting.
• Design and maintain strong internal controls and scalable accounting processes.
• Partner with HR, Operations, and leadership on strategic financial planning.
• Assist with multi‑entity, multi‑currency, and global accounting activities as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 3+ years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role.
• Experience supporting accounting across multiple global regions (NORAM, LATAM, EMEA, APAC) is preferred.
