About the role

Dorsia is looking for a meticulous Controller to modernize its accounting function with AI‑powered tools, scalable systems, and real‑time reporting. You will own the end‑to‑end finance operations of a fast‑growing hospitality‑tech business.

Key responsibilities

• Own the general ledger and month‑end close, continuously shortening close cycles.
• Manage revenue recognition for memberships, transaction fees, minimum spends and venue partnerships in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee high‑volume accounts payable, accounts receivable and payment reconciliation.
• Deploy AI agents to automate reconciliations, journal entries and close workflows.
• Establish and document accounting policies, procedures and a controls framework as the company scales.
• Lead annual audit preparation and serve as primary contact for external auditors.
• Own tax compliance across federal, state, local and international jurisdictions, including sales tax in multiple global destinations.
• Manage end‑to‑end payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Build internal controls, SOX‑readiness and compliance infrastructure ahead of Series B.
• Use AI tooling to monitor compliance obligations and flag exposure in real time.
• Conduct line‑by‑line reviews of budgets and actuals to enforce cost discipline.

Required profile

• Proven experience building and running the accounting function in a high‑growth consumer or marketplace business.
• Deep understanding of multi‑stream revenue recognition and GAAP.
• Detail‑oriented mindset with a passion for uncovering financial nuances.
• Comfort with AI‑driven automation as a core part of finance operations.
