About the role

As Forus' first dedicated accounting hire, you will be responsible for closing the books, reporting financials, and building the systems and controls that enable the company to scale. You will work closely with leadership, auditors, and external partners to ensure accurate and trustworthy financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end accounting operations, including monthly close, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, tax, and technical accounting.
• Design, document, and implement controls, policies, and processes for a best‑in‑class accounting function.
• Make technical accounting decisions on revenue recognition, stock‑based compensation, multi‑entity reporting, and capitalization policies.
• Evaluate, select, and implement ERP and related financial systems that can scale with business demand.
• Partner with auditors and external stakeholders throughout the audit process.

Required profile

• High‑horsepower, high‑throughput individual with a low‑ego, hunger to learn, and ownership mindset.
• Comfortable working autonomously in a fast‑moving, high‑impact environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

• Experience with ERP systems.
