Controller – Finance Leader for Fast‑Growing CPG Company

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Controller to lead the accounting function of a fast‑growing consumer packaged goods (CPG) company. You will partner closely with executive leadership to shape financial planning, reporting, and strategy while building scalable processes in a high‑growth environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting function, including monthly close, financial reporting, general ledger, AR/AP, reconciliations, cash management, and internal controls.
• Own cost accounting, inventory accounting, and COGS reporting to deliver accurate, decision‑ready financial information.
• Partner with executives on budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, KPI reporting, and business performance analysis.
• Oversee and optimize NetSuite and other financial systems, driving automation and strengthening reporting infrastructure.
• Lead the transition from outsourced accounting to an in‑house operation, establishing a solid financial foundation for growth.
• Act as a trusted cross‑functional partner, providing insights, improving processes, and helping build the future finance and accounting team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• CPA highly preferred.
• Hands‑on leadership style with a track record of building scalable processes and developing teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑growth startup environment.
