Control Room Operator

About the role

The Control Room Operator monitors the safe and efficient production and transportation of natural gas and associated by‑products in the Piceance Basin. This 24/7 remote‑monitoring role ensures operations align with company safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee production, gathering, compressor, and water‑treatment facilities, as well as associated pipelines.
• Interpret live SCADA data and alarms to identify normal and abnormal conditions.
• Dispatch field personnel and resources according to SOPs and operational protocols.
• Communicate operational changes, abnormalities, and emergency situations to field staff, third‑party operators, downstream customers, and marketing teams.
• Maintain primary contact for lone‑worker tracking and emergency response, including handling emergency line locates and National 811 notifications.
• Monitor facility cameras, control point entry, and asset security.
• Assist in creating and reviewing OCC SOPs.

Required profile

• Ability to work continuously in a 24/7 operational environment.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with field personnel and external partners.
• Capability to act as the primary emergency response contact.
• Attention to detail and effective time‑management.
