Contracts Attorney – Therapeutics & Life Sciences

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Attorney to join a fast‑moving team supporting therapeutics and life‑sciences operations in Boston. The role involves drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial agreements while providing practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and revise commercial and legal agreements related to therapeutics and life‑sciences activities.
• Lead contract negotiations with external parties, balancing legal risk and business objectives.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to advise on contract terms and obligations.
• Draft legal documents such as motions, briefs, and related materials when formal legal support is required.
• Organize facts, legal positions, and supporting documentation for briefing development.
• Track agreement status, key terms, and follow‑up actions to ensure timely execution and compliance.
• Identify contractual risks and propose clear, business‑focused solutions.
• Support updates to processes or operational changes affecting contract workflows.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
• Background in therapeutics, life sciences, healthcare, or a similarly regulated industry.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple matters accurately.
• Effective communication skills and confidence working with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Sound legal judgment and a practical approach to resolving contract issues.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
