Contracts Advisor

About the role

Our client, a large global law firm, is looking for a Contracts Advisor to manage the full contract lifecycle for both client‑facing and vendor‑facing agreements. The position is remote, with a preference for candidates located in major US legal hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the end‑to‑end lifecycle of vendor and client contracts, from creation through renewal or termination.
• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements to ensure favorable terms and protect firm interests.
• Analyze contractual language to identify and mitigate legal and financial risks.
• Lead the review and negotiation of engagement letters, outside‑counsel guidelines, and other client‑facing documents.
• Support procurement activities, including RFI/RFP processes, vendor evaluations, and sourcing of technology, SaaS, and maintenance agreements.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys on risk assessment, markup preparation, and term negotiations.
• Monitor contract performance, compliance with regulations, and ESG‑related procurement initiatives.

Required profile

• 4+ years of contract lifecycle management experience, preferably in professional services or a law firm.
• Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, contract law, and related terms and conditions.
• Proven ability to develop strategy, negotiate, and conduct pricing analysis.
• Experience evaluating and mitigating contractual risk.
• Advanced research, analytical, and problem‑solving capabilities.
