Contract Prescribing Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatrist (1099)

About the role

Lyra Clinical Associates, which partners with Lyra Health, a large provider of evidence-based mental health care, is hiring a contract Child and Adolescent Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatrist (1099 contractor). You will provide essential clinical care to children, teens and young adults through live 30-minute video intake appointments and regular follow-ups, conducting psychiatric evaluations and managing medication. Lyra refers patients to evidence-based therapy and coaching alongside your care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive mental health medication management via a 60-minute intake appointment and regular follow-ups
• Conduct mental health risk assessments, psychiatric medication evaluations and longitudinal medication treatment
• Build patient-centered treatment plans, document recommendations, message patients and prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
• Follow clinical best-practice guidelines such as measurement-based care, patient-centered care and minimizing medication risks while maximizing benefits

Required profile

• Board certified in Psychiatry, or graduated from an accredited CCNE Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program, or from an accredited ARC-PA program with PANCE certification (preference for added psychiatry qualifications)
• Unrestricted state license and at least 2 years of practice
• Strong preference for NPs and PA-Cs with an active DEA license
• Preference for providers with additional certification or clinical experience with minors
• Own office space able to see clients, and ability to treat patients across a wide range of diagnoses and severity levels
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
