Contract Neuropsychologist (1099) - New York

About the role

Lyra Clinical Associates, which partners with Lyra Health, a large provider of evidence-based mental health care, is hiring a contract Neuropsychologist (1099) for its Center of Excellence for Neurodiversity in New York. The center offers neuropsychological and/or psychological assessments and diagnosis, tailored care for ADHD, and support for autism and learning differences. The role suits providers who enjoy a collaborative team environment with psychologists, therapists and psychiatrists.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct intake interviews to gather a complete history
• Provide comprehensive neuropsychological and/or psychological evaluations for clients of all ages, with families and collateral sources
• Interpret test batteries and administer tests occasionally
• Serve as subject matter expert on neuropsychological assessments
• Supervise the psychometrist's work to ensure accurate data collection
• Write detailed evaluation reports and brief summaries for clients, families and referring providers
• Hold feedback sessions explaining findings, diagnoses and recommendations
• Coordinate treatment planning with the care team
• Work with patients and families virtually and/or in person

Required profile

• Doctorate in Psychology from an APA or CPA accredited program
• Licensed Clinical Psychologist in at least one state
• One year of predoctoral internship and two years of postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology preferred
• Equivalent experience, supervision or training considered on a case-by-case basis
• Background check required

Required skills

• Experience conducting testing virtually and in person
• Familiarity with online web-based applications
• Therapeutic communication skills
• Able to deliver care virtually, in person or in your own office
