Contact Center Associate 2 – Full‑Time Remote

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Contact Center Associate 2 to work remotely, providing courteous service to patients, handling registration and scheduling using EPIC, and supporting the patient experience across UHealth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality patient service while maintaining productivity standards.
• Schedule and register patients for appointments across multiple physicians, specialties and sites using the EPIC system.
• Verify insurance information, benefits and referral requirements, coordinating with central insurance verification teams.
• Provide general information about UHealth services and assist providers and staff with inquiries and problem resolution.
• Act as a subject‑matter expert, train new agents and identify trouble spots in care delivery.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of relevant office or call‑center experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle stressful situations with professional composure.
• Proven ability to analyze problems and maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC scheduling system.
• Experience performing insurance verification and benefits checks.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy and confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to conduct medical triage and understand insurance referral criteria.
