Consumer Services Representative – Part Time

About the role

The Consumer Services Representative will handle customer inquiries, warranty issues, and product information for Clopay's Troy, Ohio location. This part‑time position works Monday‑Friday, 9:00 AM‑1:30 PM, providing support via phone, live chat, and email.

Key responsibilities

• Edit, analyze, and respond to customer inquiries covering pre‑purchase questions, product comparisons, measurement guidance, literature requests, and warranty issues.
• Generate and mail programmed consumer response letters, process warranty registrations, rebates, live‑chat interactions, and web‑page email responses.
• Follow up on complaints, coordinate replacements, factory servicing, and adjustments to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Investigate and expedite product warranty claims according to marketing policies.
• Maintain reference files and keep the company informed on warranty trends, product defects, parts shortages, and damages.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret varied customer communications.
• Ability to maintain a 94% call answer rate by staying logged into the ACD system.
• Excellent written communication skills for generating response letters and email replies.

Required skills

• Experience using an ACD (Automatic Call Distribution) system.
• Proficiency with live‑chat and email response platforms.
