Construction Superintendent

About the role

Imperium Construction Services, a growing NYC‑based general contractor specializing in high‑end commercial, retail, fitness, and interior buildouts, is seeking a strong Superintendent. You will own the field, control the jobsite, coordinate subcontractors, and drive projects from mobilization through closeout.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily field operations from mobilization through closeout
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, inspections, and building logistics
• Drive the project schedule and participate in two‑week lookaheads
• Read and understand architectural, MEP, and structural drawings
• Identify field conditions and coordination issues before they impact the schedule
• Maintain daily logs, photos, manpower tracking, and site documentation in Procore
• Coordinate closely with the Project Manager on schedule, procurement, RFIs, submittals, and inspections
• Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and controlled jobsite
• Enforce safety requirements and conduct toolbox talks
• Manage inspections and help drive timely sign‑offs and closeout

Required profile

• 4+ years experience as a Superintendent on commercial, retail, or interior construction projects
• Strong ability to lead subcontractors and control daily production
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Strong understanding of scheduling, sequencing, logistics, and closeout
• Experience working in NYC construction environments
• Comfortable working in occupied buildings, tight spaces, and limited staging conditions
• Familiarity with DOB inspections, permits, and closeout requirements
• Ability to manage union and non‑union subcontractors
• Active OSHA 62‑Hour SST certification required
