Construction Superintendent

About the role

The Construction Superintendent will serve as Vanguard World Management’s on‑site field representative for a federal kitchenette renovation project at Fort Bliss, Texas. This project‑based position focuses on interior kitchen/kitchenette remodels, coordinating multiple trades and ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, schedule, and government requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily field activities and manage subcontractor workflow.
• Maintain jobsite safety and support quality control.
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with project drawings, specifications, schedule, and government regulations.
• Lead subcontractors and communicate with project management and government representatives.
• Identify field issues early and keep work moving safely and efficiently.
• Oversee trades including demolition, framing, drywall, ceilings, cabinetry, countertops, flooring, painting, plumbing, electrical, and minor mechanical/HVAC work.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain and maintain access to Fort Bliss.
• Minimum three years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Lead Foreman, or similar field leadership role.
• Experience supervising commercial construction, interior renovations, tenant improvements, or government construction projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and construction trades.
• Working knowledge of OSHA construction safety requirements and safe jobsite practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and basic Excel.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the project site.
