Construction Superintendent – Earthworks

About the role

The Superintendent – Earthworks will lead craft teams and subordinate superintendents on the Louisiana LNG project, ensuring that all construction activities meet specifications, schedules and budgets. This role oversees excavation, backfill, soil mixing, stabilization, piling and work around sensitive waterways.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and direct craft operations within the assigned earthworks discipline.
• Monitor and coordinate subcontractor performance, providing instruction to their management staff.
• Collaborate with other superintendents, foremen and general foremen to determine equipment and resource needs.
• Prepare and maintain a three‑week look‑ahead schedule, aligning resources and equipment to project plans.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards and budget constraints.
• Support large‑scale, high‑complexity projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising craft and field teams on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of earthworks processes such as excavation, backfill, soil mixing, stabilization and piling.
• Ability to work safely around sensitive waterways and environmental constraints.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing schedules and budgets.
