Construction Safety & Compliance Manager

About the role

The Safety & Compliance Manager leads ICI’s safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting employees across multiple project sites nationwide.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and continuously improve safety and compliance programs aligned with OSHA, EPA and client-specific requirements.
• Conduct regular safety walks, inspections, hazard assessments and compliance reviews on project sites.
• Lead incident reporting, investigations, root‑cause analysis and corrective action plans.
• Deliver engaging safety training for field staff and maintain up‑to‑date safety policies and manuals.
• Manage environmental compliance, including stormwater, hazardous waste, spill prevention and air quality controls.
• Serve as primary liaison for client compliance programs such as Walmart, ensuring ICI meets or exceeds expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, occupational safety or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5 + years of leadership experience in construction safety and compliance.
• Experience managing large‑scale construction compliance programs (e.g., Walmart) preferred.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards.
• Proficiency with OSHA 30‑Hour certification (required) and OSHA 510, 500, CHST, CSP certifications (preferred).
• Strong risk assessment, hazard mitigation and incident investigation abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain Walmart safety certifications within one month of hire.
