Construction QA/QC Manager

About the role

The Construction QA/QC Manager is responsible for implementing and managing quality control plans across Suffolk projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, plans, and regulatory requirements from project start through close‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the Corporate Quality Management Program and ensure compliance across the business.
• Develop and expand standard operating procedures to achieve high quality construction outcomes.
• Create and verify project‑specific Quality Management Plans.
• Develop quality metrics and work with operations to address trends.
• Manage a team of Quality Managers, conduct site evaluations, and ensure corrective actions.
• Provide compliance guidance on federal, state, and local regulations (ADA, ASHE, NFPA, UL, ASTM, FBC).
• Develop training curriculum for field operations, quality staff, and subcontractors.
• Represent Suffolk with owners, architects, consultants, authorities, vendors, and subcontractors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Quality Management or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in construction quality control.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods and national/state codes.
• Self‑motivated, judgmental, and committed to excellence.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with construction industry software.
• Working knowledge of national and state code and quality regulations/standards.
