Construction Project Manager – Piscataway, NJ

About the role

GenScript is seeking a detail‑oriented Construction Project Manager to lead the planning, design, construction, commissioning, and validation of its new facilities in Piscataway, NJ. This full‑time, onsite position will support the Operations Department for 1‑2 years, with the potential to evolve into a Facility Manager role after project completion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive project plans, including requirement gathering, feasibility analysis, risk assessment, and solution design.
• Prepare cost estimates, create cost‑control plans, and manage project budgets.
• Oversee procurement, bidding, and contract negotiations for design, construction, and long‑lead equipment.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. regulations, manage government permit applications, and coordinate third‑party approvals.
• Lead technical, quality, safety, and timeline management, resolving issues promptly.
• Coordinate with construction firms, supervisory teams, and contractors to maintain project relationships.
• Organize factory acceptance tests, commissioning, and validation activities.
• Conduct final inspections, handovers, documentation reviews, and project settlement.
• Report progress regularly, compile lessons learned, and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical/Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in construction project management within regulated environments.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale, multi‑disciplinary projects from concept to completion.
