Construction Project Engineer

About the role

RQC, LLC is looking for a Construction Project Engineer to join its Field Operations team at an active military installation in Norfolk, Virginia. The role supports complex commercial construction projects from initial development through final completion.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with all phases of project delivery, including planning, scheduling, coordination, administration, and project controls.
• Provide on‑site support throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely and cost‑effective execution.
• Perform additional project management duties as needed based on project size and experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30 certifications (training provided if needed).
• Local candidates preferred; qualified out‑of‑area applicants considered.
• Preferred experience with Primavera P3/P6, Viewpoint, BIM, Revit, LEED Green Associate, and Quality Control Management certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Outlook.
• Experience using Primavera P3/P6 scheduling software.
• Familiarity with Viewpoint, BIM, and Revit tools.
• Knowledge of LEED Green Associate standards.
• Understanding of Quality Control Management (QCM) processes.
• CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30 safety certifications.
