Construction Manager III – Airports

About the role

The Tsui Group is looking for an experienced Construction Manager III to lead airport construction projects in Los Angeles County. You will oversee the full lifecycle of design and construction activities, ensuring projects meet scope, cost, schedule, and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor all on‑site field construction activities and ensure compliance with approved work plans and Area Shutdown Requests.
• Verify that work is performed and inspected against the latest plans, specifications, submittals, and RFIs.
• Collaborate with Design/Builder, stakeholders, and LAWA Operations to plan construction phases, identify critical milestones, and prioritize tasks.
• Track budget estimates, staffing needs, and schedule performance for projects exceeding $100 million.
• Allocate manpower, materials, and equipment efficiently to meet schedule and budget goals.
• Identify potential problem areas early and implement preventative actions to keep milestones on track.
• Prepare periodic progress reports for senior management and clients.
• Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and project labor‑agreement policies.
• Review and negotiate contractor change‑order claims.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of construction management experience, preferably on airport projects.
• Experience managing projects valued over $100 million.
• Proven ability to work with various delivery methods such as Design‑Bid‑Build, Design‑CMAR, and Design/Build.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
