Construction Manager II

About the role

The Construction Manager II will lead the delivery of Murphy USA retail construction projects, overseeing all phases from design to final hand‑over. The role ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage field construction personnel, monitor quality, and enforce construction schedules.
• Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship and compliance.
• Collaborate on building design to achieve cost savings and construction efficiency.
• Reduce turnover and boost engagement among construction teams.
• Maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget delivery of 12‑14 projects per year.
• Coordinate with co‑workers, vendors, and authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ) to keep projects on track.
• Provide regular updates to department heads on schedules, designs, and business needs.
• Perform any additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Broad knowledge of accounting, marketing, business administration, and finance.
• Four‑year college degree or equivalent.
• At least 7 years of related construction experience.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in construction or related fields.
