Construction Manager – Federal Projects

About the role

The Construction Manager will lead day‑to‑day field oversight of contractor activities on large federal projects valued over $100 million. Reporting to senior project leadership, you will ensure compliance with contract documents, drawings, specifications and government standards while maintaining safety, quality and schedule performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily contractor field operations and verify adherence to approved plans and specifications.
• Monitor site safety, security and environmental compliance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Review and process RFIs, submittals, shop drawings and change orders.
• Coordinate commissioning, turnover and close‑out activities.
• Prepare and maintain field reports, schedules and project documentation.
• Apply SOX control requirements where applicable.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline (preferred).
• 15+ years of construction management experience, including at least one project exceeding $100 million.
• Demonstrated experience delivering federal or institutional projects.
• Knowledge of design‑build and design‑bid‑build delivery methods.
• Familiarity with government standards and procedures.
