About the role
The Certified Welding Inspector will provide quality assurance for Bureau Veritas clients during construction projects in Tucson, AZ. This role involves on‑site inspections, documentation, and coordination with project teams to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Key responsibilities
- Perform on‑site welding inspections and quality control activities throughout the construction phase.
- Communicate with Project Managers, fabrication shops, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
- Prepare and submit inspection reports, timesheets, billing and expense reports using Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ensure all services are performed in accordance with project requirements, contracts, and client specifications.
- Maintain accurate records, photographs, and documentation for client deliverables.
- Travel to project sites as needed and cover travel expenses in advance.
Required profile
- Current/active American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Senior CWI.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
- Reliable high‑speed internet connection for remote work.
- Detail‑oriented with strong documentation and communication skills.
Required skills
- American Welding Society Certified Welding Inspector qualification.
- Non‑Destructive Testing Level II or III (preferred).
- NACE/AMPP Level II (preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, Calendar).
- Experience using Adobe Acrobat and other document control software.
