Construction Integrator for Federal MILCON Projects

About the role

North Wind Design seeks a Construction Integrator to lead and coordinate construction quality assurance activities for Military Construction (MILCON) projects. The role ensures project goals are met within schedule, budget, and quality standards while serving as the primary integration point among stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage on‑site Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Inspectors across one or more MILCON projects.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with plans, specifications, contracts, and applicable codes.
• Review inspection reports, deficiency logs, and corrective action reports for accuracy.
• Develop and maintain inspection schedules to ensure coverage throughout all construction phases.
• Identify and resolve quality issues, risks, and deficiencies with project stakeholders.
• Participate in pre‑construction, progress, quality control, and close‑out meetings.
• Support project acceptance, turnover, and close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 8 years of construction management/inspection/quality assurance experience.
• At least 5 years supporting DoD, USACE, NAVFAC, or MILCON programs.
• Proven ability to coordinate inspection personnel and manage multiple projects.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS), FAR, and building codes.
• Strong understanding of construction QA/QC principles.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction/project management software.
