Construction Inspector NICET II (Bridge Replacement)

About the role

Prudent Engineering is seeking a Construction Inspector with NICET II certification and bridge replacement experience to join its Rochester team. The inspector will oversee construction projects, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect construction activities at various stages to verify adherence to project specifications and safety standards.
• Document findings, prepare reports, and coordinate corrective actions with contractors and project managers.
• Travel to multiple sites within Monroe County as needed.

Required profile

• NICET II certification or equivalent bridge inspection experience.
• Prior experience with New York State DOT or Thruway bridge projects.
• OSHA 10 certification and strong knowledge of construction site safety procedures.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

Required skills

• Bridge construction inspection and condition assessment.
• Computer‑aided project administration tools.
• Understanding of NYS DOT inspection standards.
