Construction Control Representative – USACE

About the role

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking qualified Construction Control Representatives to join its South Atlantic Division, Savannah District. In this permanent position you will oversee quality assurance for construction contracts at Fort Benning, ensuring projects meet all technical, safety, and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on‑site surveillance and three‑phase inspections of construction contracts.
• Prepare daily Quality Assurance (QA) reports in the Resident Management System (RMS) and maintain documentation in the Paperless Contract File (PCF).
• Identify and resolve conflicts between plans, specifications, and field installations, providing recommendations to project engineers.
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, and quality control reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Assist with contract modifications, change orders, and claim resolution through field measurements and cost estimates.
• Ensure contractor adherence to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers safety requirements and Accident Prevention Plans.

Required profile

• Experience in construction quality assurance or inspection, preferably on government or large‑scale projects.
• Strong understanding of construction plans, specifications, and engineering practices.
• Ability to document issues, incidents, and potential disputes clearly and accurately.
• Effective communication skills for coordinating with contractors, engineers, and agency personnel.
