Construction Assistant Superintendent

About the role

Roers Companies is looking for a detail‑oriented Construction Assistant Superintendent to support the on‑site team in Phoenix, AZ. Reporting to the Superintendent, you will help coordinate daily construction activities, ensure schedules stay on track, and maintain safety and quality standards on multifamily residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to coordinate project schedules and sequencing.
• Assist in site construction operations, including scheduling intermediate phases and material distribution.
• Prepare daily job logs, track progress, and document project milestones.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, building codes, ADA regulations, and company policies.
• Support subcontractor coordination, quality control checks, and on‑site direction under the Superintendent’s guidance.
• Maintain positive relationships with city officials, owners, trades, and suppliers.
• Assist in site preparation for early access by leasing and marketing teams.

Required profile

• BS degree in Construction Management or related field preferred; high school diploma or GED acceptable with relevant experience.
• 1‑3 years of on‑site construction experience in multifamily residential new‑building projects.
• Working knowledge of local, state, and national building codes and ADA laws.
• Demonstrated understanding of multifamily construction means and methods.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
