About the role
The Conflicts Analyst supports Wilson Elser’s Conflicts Department, the central hub that conducts conflicts‑of‑interest checks for new clients, matters, and hires. The role combines corporate research, data searches, and report generation to ensure compliance with professional conduct rules.
Key responsibilities
- Perform initial review and intake of new client, matter and change‑request forms.
- Conduct corporate research and run conflicts searches, interpreting results and flagging potential issues.
- Communicate findings to attorneys and escalate complex matters to Conflicts Counsel.
- Review waivers and engagement letters under guidance to facilitate conflicts clearance.
- Assist the Office of General Counsel on projects related to conflicts of interest.
- Monitor and process departmental mailbox requests and update client/matter information as needed.
Required profile
- Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and proofreading abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of personnel.
- Team‑player who can prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
