Concierge Coordinator

About the role

The Concierge Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between referral sources, hospitals, physicians, and patients within the University of Miami Health System, ensuring seamless delivery of medical services for international and VIP patients.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the full cycle of medical services, including gathering patient data, scheduling appointments, registering patients, and verifying insurance coverage.
• Arrange transportation, lodging, and appointment logistics for patients transferring to or seeking services at UM facilities.
• Negotiate discount and bundled pricing, obtain letters of agreement, and collect payments from self‑pay patients and other payers.
• Serve as the after‑hours contact on a rotating basis and troubleshoot issues independently and promptly.
• Maintain detailed documentation of all patient interactions in Epic, UCHART, and internal logs to ensure continuity of care.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in patient services or medical coordination.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to handle stressful situations with professional composure.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across clinical departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system.
• Experience using NICE In Contact phone system.
• Competence with Microsoft Office applications.
