Concessions Stand Lead - Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater

About the role

The Concessions Stand Lead operates the complete run of assigned concession stands at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach. The lead trains staff, supervises and directs the work of others, and reports directly to the Concessions Supervisor. All transactions must follow Pennsylvania's RAMP standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate stand workers, assigning duties within the stand
• Analyze and resolve problems with the help of the Concession Supervisor and other management
• Oversee and take part in stand set-up and closing procedures
• Keep workstations, the back of the stand and storerooms clean and well stocked, ordering replacement stock as needed
• Complete required paperwork accurately and efficiently
• Investigate discrepancies in money and inventory; on an event basis check location bank, opening and closing inventory, product transfers, spoilage and meals
• Check transaction totals randomly for all cashiers
• Maintain a good appearance of the concession location and, at closing, help clean equipment and organize stock for the next event
• Follow and encourage safety policies, complete safety training, and report safety incidents through the company's risk management system

Required profile

• At least 18 years old
• Prior experience as a stand attendant or other food service worker
• Fluent English and ability to work in an open-air environment in all weather
• Able to lift and carry 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds, up and down stairs or ramps
• Able to work all venue events, including extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays
• Sufficient mobility for constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing and pulling
• Meets state and local health requirements for food handlers and alcohol service
