Concessions Cook - PNC Field

About the role

Legends Global is hiring a Concessions Cook for the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders at PNC Field, a 10,000-seat professional baseball stadium. This is a seasonal, part-time, hourly non-exempt position reporting to the Concessions Manager, working in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen during home games and events.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and assemble concession menu items to recipe and portion standards during games and events
• Help with pre-event prep and stand setup, including stocking supplies and getting equipment ready
• Operate grills, fryers, ovens, steamers and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
• Cook food to proper temperatures and hold it safely until served
• Clean and maintain cooking equipment, workstations and storage areas to health and sanitation standards
• Store, label and rotate food properly to prevent spoilage or waste
• Follow the Concessions Manager's daily and event-specific menus and comply with health department rules and stadium policies
• Communicate with cashiers to fulfill orders promptly and replenish food during peak service
• Assist other kitchen and concessions staff, including training them as needed

Required profile

• Previous cooking experience preferred
• Experience in live entertainment, sports or hospitality is an asset
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, work in a hot, noisy kitchen and handle heat and sun exposure outdoors
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and special events

Required skills

• Quick, consistent preparation of grilled items, fried foods, hot dogs and burgers
• Basic cooking techniques, portion control and food presentation
• Operating kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, ovens, warmers and steam tables
• Following standardized recipes and staying calm under pressure
