Concessions Cook

About the role

A concessions cook is needed at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach. The role prepares and cooks food items that deliver high quality in taste and appearance, satisfying guests and helping to maximize food revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Observe and practice all established health and sanitation procedures.
• Prepare, hold and serve products at the correct temperatures, with proper rotation, labeling and dating.
• Use the right utensils and portions, and keep the work area clean, sanitized and organized.
• Keep management informed of food quantities and quality in prep, on the line and in holding cabinets.
• Coordinate orders so they are cooked on time and accurately, and help restock paper supplies and food items.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as set out in the Employee Training Manual, and follow food-handling and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and follow safety policies and training.
• May be assigned to work multiple stations during a shift and assist other positions when needed.

Required profile

• At least 6 months of experience preparing food in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate verbally and listen to co-workers and supervisors, and to follow written and oral directions.
• Ability to work under pressure and independently.
