Concession Stand Worker

About the role

The Concession Stand Worker provides customer service at a stadium concession stand, preparing and serving menu items, selling products and handling payments. Workers report directly to the Concession Stand Manager of their assigned stand. The position covers all stadium events, including extended hours, nights, weekends and holidays.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare simple menu items and serve food and beverages quickly in proper portions with a courteous manner.
• Sell items, collect payment and give correct change.
• Enter all sales accurately into the cash register.
• Verify ID on customers ordering alcohol.
• Clean up, store products and remove trash to the dumpster.
• Maintain a clean, neat and safe work area.
• Suggestively sell and upsell items.
• Interact with customers and co-workers to uphold service standards, inventory and cash control procedures.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old.
• Fluent English and ability to work in an open-air environment in all weather.
• Able to work all days of the week, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry 10-30 pounds, occasionally 50 pounds, up and down stairs or ramps.
• Sufficient mobility for constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing and pulling.
• Meets state and local health requirements for food handlers and alcohol service.

Required skills

• Arithmetic with U.S. currency (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Multi-tasking in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
• Ability to interact with co-workers to comply with service standards.
