Computer Information Systems Instructor – IT & Cybersecurity

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a full‑time Computer Information Systems Instructor to teach credit courses in the Information Technology Professional and Cybersecurity program areas at the Swainsboro Campus.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate courses in computer information systems, IT, and cybersecurity.
• Develop, maintain, and update curriculum, laboratory exercises, and assessments.
• Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, faculty committees, and college initiatives.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least three years of recent professional experience in the field (within the past seven years).
• 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline if the degree is not directly in the field.
• Commitment to student success and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Cisco networking concepts and technologies (Cisco Network Academy experience preferred).
