About the role

Join the State of Georgia’s Datacenter Academy as a Computer Information Systems Instructor, delivering theory and practical instruction to day, evening, and online students across multiple campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom, lab, and field instruction that mirrors industry environments and utilizes current technology.
• Develop and maintain curriculum, syllabi, lesson plans, and master course shells within the learning management system.
• Evaluate student progress, grade coursework promptly, and ensure safety and security standards are met.
• Collaborate with faculty to define and assess program learning outcomes and support accreditation requirements.
• Participate in recruitment, retention, job placement efforts, and serve on committees and project assignments.
• Travel to other campuses for meetings, trainings, and professional development.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Programming, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline.
• Strong computer and communication skills with the ability to engage a diverse student population.
