Composite Technician

About the role

REGENT is scaling its innovative Seaglider vehicle from prototype to full production. The Composite Technician will fabricate, assemble, and integrate composite vehicle parts, ensuring safety, quality, and on‑time delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble composite components using prepreg lamination, vacuum bagging, and infusion processes.
• Interpret engineering drawings, provide prototype feedback, and maintain accurate build documentation.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and reliability teams to meet project timelines and budgets.
• Implement quality‑assurance protocols, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Mentor junior technicians and lead small project teams.

Required profile

• Professional experience in hands‑on composite manufacturing, preferably aerospace, automotive, or marine.
• Ability to modify and repair infused and prepreg carbon‑fiber structures and cored components.
• Strong teamwork skills and adaptability to a fast‑paced, changing environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for short and extended trips.

Required skills

• Prepreg lamination, vacuum bagging, and infusion techniques.
• Reading and interpreting detailed ply layups, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Use of precision measuring instruments, gauge blocks, lasers, and gravity measurement methods.
• Metrology collaboration and documentation of fabrication processes.
