Compliance Specialist 1 – Rideshare

About the role

Join the Georgia Department of Public Safety’s Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division as a Compliance Specialist 1 in the Ride Share Program. You will support regulatory compliance for rideshare and other passenger transportation services, ensuring proper licensing, safety inspections, and insurance coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the registration database for rideshare and related transportation programs.
• Apply complex program laws, rules, and regulations to enforce certificates, permits, and insurance requirements.
• Support safety inspections in coordination with Commercial Vehicle Officers.
• Enforce provisions for non‑consensual towing, vehicle immobilization, limousine, passenger carriers, household goods carriers, and taxi services.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of relevant job experience.
• Superior communication and writing abilities.
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment background investigation (criminal, driver’s, credit).
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
