Compliance Investigator 3

About the role

The State Board of Workers’ Compensation seeks a Compliance Investigator 3 to conduct inspections and investigations ensuring businesses maintain required workers’ compensation insurance. This full‑time position may include a hybrid work schedule and involves travel throughout Southwest Georgia.

Key responsibilities

• Perform random and complaint‑based compliance inspections of businesses to verify workers’ compensation coverage.
• Plan and conduct inspections independently across assigned geographic areas, including overnight travel as needed.
• Interview business owners and employees to determine employee counts and insurance compliance.
• Issue citations for non‑compliance and prepare detailed investigative reports.
• Provide courtroom testimony and support security services for the Board’s administrative courts.

Required profile

• POST certification and PSP082 qualification.
• Ability to travel extensively and stay overnight in remote locations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and testimony.
