Compliance Analyst (Remote)

About the role

River is seeking a proactive Compliance Analyst to support its compliance, fraud, sanctions, complaints, and dispute programs. The role is remote and ideal for candidates who are curious, ownership‑driven, and interested in Bitcoin.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day operations of compliance, fraud, sanctions, complaints, and dispute programs.
• Use data analysis to identify client activity trends, surface risk, and spot operational gaps.
• Own operational improvements to compliance tooling and workflows with a data‑driven approach.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to automate compliance operations.
• Execute and enhance compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Partner with Client Services and Finance for investigations and risk‑based resolutions.
• Conduct compliance outreach to clients while balancing regulatory requirements and customer experience.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, and legal or law‑enforcement inquiries.
• Report compliance program trends and progress to leadership.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of data analysis tools, specifically SQL.
