About the role
The Community Manager for The Letterman student living community will oversee daily operations, lead the on‑site team, and ensure the property meets its financial and operational goals while providing a safe, welcoming environment for residents.
Key responsibilities
- Provide input to the property budget by analyzing financial statements and market data.
- Achieve targeted revenues through rent setting, timely collections, bank deposits, and monthly financial reporting.
- Approve vendor and contractor invoices, verify insurance certificates, and code charges appropriately.
- Manage expenditures within the approved budget and maintain the petty‑cash fund.
- Oversee lease enforcement, including application approvals, discounts, renewals, inspections, evictions, and collection of late fees.
- Build and maintain relationships with university housing and student affairs officials to stay informed of policy changes affecting the community.
Required profile
- Experience in multifamily or student housing property management.
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and related regulations.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, vendor relationships, and lease administration.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
