Community Manager

About the role

Community Action of Skagit County is seeking a Community Manager to oversee day‑to‑day operations of its agency‑owned rental properties. The role combines property management, tenant relations, compliance, and resident engagement to create safe, welcoming housing communities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage leasing, maintenance coordination, tenant relations, and overall property operations.
• Conduct regular inspections, ensure compliance with fair‑housing and landlord‑tenant laws, and handle emergency response.
• Collect rent, monitor accounts, prepare budgets, and support funder audits.
• Organize community engagement activities, facilitate resident meetings, and connect tenants with agency programs.
• Maintain accurate records, support the Housing Project Director, and contribute to agency leadership meetings.

Required profile

• GED or high‑school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Property Management, Business or related field preferred.
• At least 3 years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing.
• Valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance for work‑related travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using property management software.
