About the role
The Community Assistant supports the property management team in achieving occupancy and resident satisfaction goals within a Residential Learning Community focused on student living. This onsite role combines administrative, leasing, and resident‑service duties in a fast‑paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform administrative tasks for the leasing office, including copying documents, filing resident files, preparing notices, handling calls, and organizing rent payments.
- Assist sales and leasing activities by conducting virtual tours, responding to online inquiries, greeting and qualifying prospects, and showing apartments.
- Generate lease paperwork, organize resident lease files, and support the lease preparation process.
- Coordinate move‑in and move‑out processes, including mandatory work dates and “turn” periods.
- Answer incoming calls, set appointments for property tours, and conduct on‑campus marketing outreach.
- Help organize resident events such as parties, birthday cards, and unit visits to boost satisfaction.
- Distribute resident communications, including flyers, newsletters, surveys, and late notices.
- Serve as an after‑hours liaison, responding to emergencies and completing at least one on‑call shift per week.
Required profile
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail for administrative tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with prospects and residents.
- Willingness to work mandatory move‑in/move‑out dates and on‑call shifts.
- Ability to perform on‑site marketing outreach and support resident events.
