Community Assistant – Evergreen Commons Student Living

About the role

The Community Assistant supports the property management team at Evergreen Commons, a student‑living community, by handling administrative, leasing and resident‑service tasks. This on‑site position helps achieve occupancy and retention goals while ensuring a positive living experience for students.

Key responsibilities

• Perform office administration such as copying documents, filing resident files, preparing notices and organizing rent payments.
• Assist with leasing activities: conduct virtual tours, respond to online inquiries, greet and qualify prospects, give property tours and show apartments.
• Generate lease paperwork, maintain lease files and support the move‑in and move‑out processes, including mandatory “turn” dates.
• Answer incoming calls, schedule prospect appointments and conduct on‑campus marketing outreach to drive qualified traffic.
• Coordinate resident events, distribute newsletters, flyers and surveys, and handle birthday cards and unit visits.
• Serve as after‑hours liaison, respond to emergencies within required timeframes and complete at least one on‑call shift per week.

Required profile

• Willingness to work mandatory move‑in/move‑out dates and on‑call shifts.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to respond quickly and courteously to resident inquiries.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for handling paperwork and scheduling.
