Commercial Lines Territory Manager – Hybrid

About the role

As a Commercial Lines Territory Manager for Mapfre, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth of commercial insurance business across an assigned territory in Massachusetts. The role combines sales expertise, agency partnership development, and deep product knowledge to expand Mapfre’s market share while supporting independent agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Drive new business, retention, cross‑sell, quote activity and profitability for Commercial Lines in the assigned Massachusetts territory.
• Develop and execute agency‑specific territory plans to increase Mapfre’s market share and identify profitable growth opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong in‑person relationships with agency principals, Commercial Lines managers, producers and account teams.
• Collaborate with underwriting and business leaders to provide product expertise and support agency needs.
• Monitor performance metrics, report on progress and adjust strategies to meet production targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial lines insurance sales, preferably working with independent agencies.
• Strong relationship‑building and consultative selling abilities.
• Demonstrated track record of achieving sales, retention and profitability goals.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to travel within the assigned territory for in‑person meetings.

Required skills

• Knowledge of commercial lines insurance products and underwriting guidelines.
• Territory planning and business development expertise.
• Proficiency with CRM tools for managing agency relationships.
