Commercial Lines Field Risk Consultant

About the role

As a Commercial Lines Field Risk Consultant you will act as a trusted advisor to policyholders, underwriting and claims teams, helping businesses identify and mitigate risks across property, liability and commercial auto lines. Based in Webster, MA, you will conduct on‑site assessments, develop practical recommendations and support implementation of loss‑prevention strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on‑site surveys of commercial accounts to identify property, liability and auto exposures.
• Carry out hazard identification, risk assessments and evaluate existing safety controls and programs.
• Analyze operational processes, loss history, inspection findings and exposure data to determine risk quality.
• Prepare detailed risk assessment reports and communicate findings to underwriting teams and policyholders.
• Develop and deliver account‑specific service plans aimed at reducing loss frequency and severity.
• Monitor progress on recommendations, conduct follow‑up visits and maintain strong relationships with agents and brokers.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex risk data.
• Excellent communication skills to convey technical findings to non‑technical audiences.
• Proactive approach to building relationships with clients, agents and internal teams.
• Experience in commercial risk assessment or loss‑prevention consulting preferred.
