College & Career Readiness Intern

About the role

The College & Career Readiness Intern will support the International Rescue Committee’s Utah Youth Program, assisting newly arrived refugee youth (ages 15‑19) as they plan their educational and career pathways. Working closely with the CCR team, the intern will help deliver workshops, mentorship, case documentation, and outreach activities in a multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and facilitating monthly workshops and outdoor adventure activities.
• Provide individualized guidance during weekly open office hours and program intakes.
• Support mentorship matching and long‑term follow‑up for refugee youth.
• Document case notes, track outreach efforts, and help maintain program records.
• Coordinate logistics for workshops, field trips, and community events.

Required profile

• Strong interest in youth development, education, social work, or related fields.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, multicultural setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Motivation to support refugee and immigrant populations.
