Co-Host, Rover's Morning Glory

About the role

iHeartMedia is hiring a co-host for its nationally syndicated morning show, Rover's Morning Glory, based in Cleveland, Ohio. The position is full time and salaried, with a salary of $60,000 to $75,000 depending on experience, knowledge, skills and market data.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a daily comedic, talk, show or program for broadcast entertainment.
• Entertain and inform listeners in line with the format, genre and target audience, interview guests, converse with callers and host live events.
• Follow station, iHeartMedia and FCC guidelines, including indecency and obscenity policies.
• Prepare for each air shift independently, writing, producing, interviewing, taping or broadcasting on-air material.
• Air logged commercials, promotions and other essential programming.
• Maintain a website personality page and take part in programming, promotions and sales staff meetings and events.
• Make regular appearances at paid and non-paid station events and act as an ambassador for the show and stations.
• Assist with voice-over and production of paid and non-paid spots, and research topics so you can speak extemporaneously.
• Edit content with digital audio software and prepare written, visual, audio and video material for websites, blogs and social media.
• Check studio equipment and report technical issues to Engineering.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of on-air radio experience.
• Audio demo of on-air interviews, commentary and announcements.
• 4-year college degree, preferably in Communications or Broadcast Journalism.
• Strong knowledge of FCC rules and regulations.
• Upbeat, engaging on-air personality who relates to the audience, and able to stay calm in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and social networking.
• Familiarity with NexGen, Vox Pro and Adobe Audition.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and editing skills.
